The history behind Bionic.
Hillerich & Bradsby began making the world-famous “Louisville Slugger” baseball bat in 1884 and changed the face of baseball. Today, the 120-year-old family-owned company contracts with 60%-70% of MLB players. In addition to wood and metal baseball bats, H&B produces golf and hockey equipment, as well, which led to the 2002 launch of the Bionic Glove Division.

Bionic technology was first developed for hockey gloves, and evolved to batting gloves, catcher’s mitts and first-base mitts. Currently, professional players in both the NHL and MLB wear performance-enhancing Bionic Gloves!

After the overwhelming success of Bionic technology in hockey and baseball gloves, Hillerich & Bradsby worked tirelessly to develop versions of the Bionic glove for everyday activities. The applications are endless and the benefits to men and women are proven time and time again. Today, Bionic technology is available in garden classic, garden extended-wear, driving/dress, golf and heavy duty gloves.

History
It all started in 1884 when John “Bud” Hillerich invented the Louisville Slugger baseball bat.
